Train to Fight / Fight Camp

I started having my own fighters competing in 2009. Now, I have had over 200 fighters through the gym fighting on many home shows in Bournemouth and over the south of England and as far away as Lincolnshire.

NRG fighters competed in the following disciplines:

  • Boxing
  • Kickboxing
  • K1
  • Thai boxing

I have had over 60 people fight from my Gym, totalling over 250 fights.

You will also see these guys present at some of the Gradings and if they aren’t fighting themselves, they will be on hand to help and get you ready and warmed up on Fight Night.

I run full fight camps to prepare for a fight event. These are run over 8 weeks and training is 4 to 5 sessions a week. Once a fighter is matched to compete they are expected to be in the gym at least 4 times a week for the 8 weeks camp.

Each fight camp is  methodically planned so each fighter ends up fully fight prepared in fitness, experienced and ability by the time he/she is entering the boxing ring. I only allow people who are actually fighting for NRG to be part of out fight camps.

Each fight camp covers a full fitness regime, a full fighting ability progression plan and a full preparation experience for the actual fight its self.

Covering Running, plyometrics, strength and conditioning, agility training, weight lose training, Boxing ability, Boxing ring craft, foot work, Pad work, Sparring as the weeks pass. The training becomes insanely high intensity with high impact fitness drills and hard sparring.

Each Fight camp session will increase in intensity, week on week, reaching you’re peak throughout the 8 weeks, getting you fighting fit for stepping into the Boxing ring on the NRG Show.

I also try and arrange the Fight Team to visit some local gyms, for some friendly sparring and equally get some of the guys to come to the NRG gym as well, for extra training/sparring.
